To use the Cutter tool to separate regions in drawing objects:
1. Select View > Show Strokes to display the lines that compose your drawing objects. Displaying the strokes helps you see the changes created by the Cutter tool.
2. From the Tools > Drawing Tools menu or from the Drawing Tools toolbar, select the Cutter tool.
3. Drag the Cutter tool to create a dividing line between the regions you want to separate.
4. Use the Select tool to select the regions created by the Cutter tool and move, delete or transform them.
